Privacy and cookies
How we use the information you give us, and your rights over it.
Who we are
E R B Motors Limited (company number 03830120), trading as E.R.B. Motors, Claybank Road, Portsmouth PO3 5NQ. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Vehicle details: registration, make, model, year and a description of the damage or work you need.
- Photos you upload with a quote request.
- Whether the repair is an insurance claim or a private repair, and anything else you tell us in your enquiry or when we speak.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To arrange, carry out and manage repairs and restorations.
- To deal with your insurer or our suppliers where your repair needs it.
We use your information because you’ve asked us for a quote or a repair (to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to carry out that contract). We will not sell or rent your personal information. Website analytics run only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who handles it
Our website and enquiry forms run on Wix, which stores form submissions and photos on our behalf. Google provides Google Analytics and only receives data about your visit if you accept analytics cookies. Where a repair goes through your insurer, we share the details needed for the claim with them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need to deal with them, and records of repairs for as long as we need to for accounting and legal purposes.
Cookies
One cookie remembers your choice about analytics cookies. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them, and we don’t use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time.
Our website host, Wix, sets a few strictly necessary cookies for security, including to send enquiry forms safely. The map at the foot of each page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when it loads.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it, and object to how we use it. To do so, contact us using the details below. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
